Biography of Swehla.

Swehla earned her Bachelors of Music with
a concentration in voice from Oakwood
College in Huntsville, Alabama. She
continued her education by earning her
Masters of Music Education at the
University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Swehla has performed for a number of
diverse audiences including Presidents
Clinton and Bush, Mayors Litke (South
Bend, IN) and Fahey (Omaha, NE), the
Premier of Bermuda, Governors Johannes
(Nebraska) and Keating (Oklahoma). She
has performed as a guest soloist for the
Omaha Symphony and the Voices of
Omaha, and opened for Yolanda Adams,
Vanessa Williams, Witness, and Rickie
Dillard.

She directed the Mutual of Omaha
Insurance Company Gospel Choir, the
University of Nebraska Gospel Choir; and
was guest director for the Show Choir
Camps of America at Milliken University,
and the Music Experience in Barbados.

Some of her compositions include 'The
Capping Song' for the Nursing Department
of Metro Community College, and 'The
American Medley', which was performed
for President Bush. She also composed
and arranged the songs on her two CD
projects, 'Unique God' of 1998 and her
new release, 'Satisfied'. She has also done
some songwriting for Gospel Incorporated
in Nashville Tennesee.

When she is not performing, directing, or
composing, Swehla enjoys spreading her
love of music by teaching piano and voice
lessons, and doing workshops for churches
and other organizations, in and out of the
country. Her love for God is apparent as
she hopes to lead many to Christ through
her music.
